Construction of a natural swimming pool
How to Seal Natural Swimming PoolsMaking sure that you have a natural swimming pool that you will be able to use all of the time, you will need to seal it correctly. This is something that you will need to do in two parts. The great thing that you will notice is that your pool will not lose any water to the ground around it as well as that you will not have to worry about minerals or anything else being leached from the soil into your pool. The two main things that you will need is that you will need to have Bentonite and a liner.
Spraying the Ground with BentoniteBentonite is something which will help to seal the ground before you put in the walls of the pool. Immediately after compacting the ground where you will have your natural swimming pool it is important to spray everything with the Bentonite. While this will not have a great effect on sandy soils, most soils will immediately bond together so that you will have a nice tight surface which will maintain shape and protect against anything trying to seep into your pool.
Using the LinerA cheap woven plastic liner is best to use after you have sprayed the soil. This will act as a secondary barrier between the pool and the soil. The barrier does not need to be an expensive $1 a square foot liner. You will only need to have the 25 cent square foot liner because you will have the added protection of the soil which is sealed by the Bentonite. Making sure that you are having these barriers with your natural swimming pool will allow you to be able to have everything that you will need so that you will be able to have the pool you always wanted to have.
